Reliance Consumer Products Expands Beverage Portfolio with Majority Stake in Shunya Maker Naturedge Beverages

Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has entered the fast-growing healthy functional beverage category by acquiring a majority stake in a Joint Venture with Naturedge Beverages Private Limited.

Naturedge, founded in 2018 by Siddhesh Sharma of the Baidyanath Group, developed Shunya, a zero-sugar, zero-calorie herb-infused functional drink. It features Indian super-herbs like Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Khus, Kokum, and Green Tea.

Through this partnership, RCPL aims to introduce a portfolio of herbal and natural beverages, strengthening its positioning as a Total Beverage Company. The healthy functional beverage segment represents a significant and rapidly expanding opportunity, fueled by the growing consumer preference for healthier and natural alternatives.

Since its inception in 2022, RCPL has been on a mission to transform the beverages experience for Indian consumers. Building on its rapid portfolio expansion through strategic acquisitions such as Campa, and successful launches including Campa Energy and Raskik beverages, the addition of Shunya further reinforces RCPL’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive Total Beverage Portfolio.

This partnership will enable RCPL to broaden its offerings by introducing healthier product innovations, including energy drinks, still beverages, energy shots, herb-infused water, and more—catering to the evolving preferences of health-conscious consumers.
