HUMAIN, Backed by Saudi PIF, Unveils AI-First Horizon Pro PC with Snapdragon X Elite

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF)-backed artificial intelligence firm HUMAIN has unveiled its first AI-focused laptop, the Horizon Pro PC, powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X Elite processor. The announcement was made during Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit in Maui, Hawaii, in a fireside chat between HUMAIN CEO Tareq Amin and Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon.

The Horizon Pro is positioned as an “AI-first” or “agentic AI” PC, designed to integrate artificial intelligence at the core of the user experience. It runs on HUMAIN’s proprietary HUMAIN ONE operating layer, offering adaptive workflows and real-time AI task management. The device also incorporates ALLAM, HUMAIN’s Arabic-first large language model, which can operate locally on the device for faster and more private interactions, with a cloud fallback for complex tasks.

Key features include:

  • Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chip with advanced on-device AI acceleration.
  • Over 18 hours of battery life and zero-latency wake time.
  • 40% lower power consumption compared to traditional systems.
  • Advanced thermal design for sustained high performance.
  • Premium specs, including up to 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display.

As part of the launch, HUMAIN announced it would provide 500 Horizon Pro units free to students, aiming to accelerate early AI adoption. Pricing and wider availability details have not yet been disclosed.

The company also revealed plans to expand its AI-first hardware lineup, including a future Horizon Ultra series developed in partnership with Qualcomm.

Industry analysts say HUMAIN’s debut represents Saudi Arabia’s ambition to play a leading role in AI innovation, with a focus on Arabic-language AI and on-device intelligence. However, competition is expected to be strong, with Intel, AMD, and other PC makers also rolling out next-generation AI-enabled systems.
