Australia and India Seal Landmark Uranium Export Deal, Powering Clean Energy and Strategic Partnership

Australia and India have taken a significant step in strengthening their economic and strategic partnership by finalizing a landmark agreement that will enable the export of Australian uranium for India’s civilian nuclear energy programme. The agreement, concluded during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Australia, marks a new chapter in bilateral cooperation and reinforces both nations’ shared commitment to energy security, sustainable development, and long-term economic growth.

The uranium export arrangement is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting India’s ambitious clean energy goals.
